The Kent State cheerleading team cheers for football in the fall as well as men's and women's basketball in the spring. At the beginning of April, the team travels to Daytona, FL to compete at NCA Nationals.

University Requirements
- 2.0 GPA
- Full-time student at Kent's Main Campus (minimum of 12 credit hours)
Athletic Requrements
Standing Tumbling: A standing tuck is the minimum standing tumbling skill needed to be considered for the team. Jumps to tumbling and tumbling through to tucks are preferred skills.

Running Tumbling: Roundoff back handspring through to a tuck is the minimum running tumbling skill needed to be considered for the team. Specialty passes through to layout or full are preferred.

Stunting: Athletes who can show potential in both group and partner stunting. Previous experience is not necessarily required.

Previous cheerleading experience is not required for male athletes interested in joining the team. We do look for athletes who have the potential to excel in learning and mastering skills.
